YouTube in copyright clampdown
Everyone understands that copyright is important but some YouTube users are enraged by the seemingly arbitrary removal or muting of some videos including home videos of sing-alongs and kids playing songs coming out of the company's fall out with Warner Music.
Most companies see YouTube exposure as positive but Warner Music just can't come to an agreement with Google owned YouTube who in turn at times can't seem to work out what should come down and what should stay up.
YOUTUBE users have been left outraged over a sudden copyright crackdown on the video-sharing website.Artists such as Death Cab For Cutie and Led Zeppelin have had their official videos removed from YouTube after negotiations between the Google-owned video website and the Warner Music Group broke down last month.
Other fan-made videos have been muted or removed without notice – including cover songs.

The problem here is that fair use isn't actually considered: accounts just get unilaterally shut down.

My entire Japanese and African Video collection over the past 3 years on YouTube was erased and I am still not happy about it.
