Zac Efron Talks Kissing Michelle Pfeiffer
Fresh off of a big night on Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre red carpet, Zac Efron flew across the country as he arrived into JFK Airport in New York City on Tuesday evening (December 6).
Clad in a grey top, black jacket, grey trousers and shades, the former "High School Musical" star shuffled through the always-busy metro terminal while in the Big Apple to promote his new movie "New Year's Eve".
Having premiered the Garry Marshall-directed picture in Tinseltown the previous night, Zac chatted with press about his liplock with actress Michelle Pfeiffer in the film - which hits theaters this Friday (December 9).
Confessing that it wasn't the dreamiest of moments, the 24-year-old told, "Those things are best to do spontaneous. Have fun and be in the moment. I definitely thought about how it was going to go down. In my mind, the way I pictured it, it was going to be perfect, very romantic, very leading man.
"Then of course, as we went to film it, right when I went to dip her, a huge piece of confetti went straight into my mouth. I didn't want to finish the kiss like that, so I spit and went for it. That's actually in the movie," Zac continued.
His 53-year-old smooch partner, Miss Pfeiffer, added, "It wasn't very sexy, but it was cute."
While chatting about his latest big screen gig, Efron, who plays Paul in the rom-com, revealed his own goals for the New Year.
"My resolution is to just stop talking about going and doing things, all the adventures I want to have in life, and just really go and do them. I'm 24, I'm not getting any younger. I want to go climb all these mountains, I wanna hike the Appalachian Trail, I still haven't gone sky-diving - I promised myself that I'd go sky-diving when I was 18, and I still haven't done that," he told Flicks and Bits.
"I wanna check out China, India, there's all these things I wanna go do. So I'd say that's my resolution, just to go and get lost, do some Indiana Jones stuff."
No doubt one of this year's most highly anticipated films, a plethora of our favorite stars were drawn out for the Hollywood, CA premiere of "New Year's Eve" on Monday night (December 5).
