Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard of the band Death Cab for Cutie had got married last Saturday night near Seatle, Washington after a year of being engaged.
Gibbard, 33, whose most recent album "Narrow Stairs," garnered plenty of critical acclaim, reportedly proposed to the "(500) Days of Summer" actress with a three-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane ring last year
"Zooey was swept off her feet, and Ben is so excited," a source told Usmagazine.com of the proposal.
The indie couple make up half of the musical duo She and Him, while Ben also fronts a second indie band.
