Apparantly, inflammation causing increased risk of heart disease is aggravated when our cynicism takes over your mood... as studied in close to 7000 US people.

"The strongest and most consistent associations were
observed for cynical distrust, which was positively associated with all
three inflammatory markers"

Further studies in other countries are not yet forthcoming...
