Darwin Exhibit

At the Franklin Institute until Dec 31. Fun for the whole family. Actually, it's mind-numbing for young kids, but they might enjoy the live Galapagos tortoises...they're unusually slow moving.It's great to have a traveling Darwin show, but what Philadelphia really needs is a permanent exhibit on evolution itself. Franklin Institute? Academy of Natural Sciences? Some brave soul's basement?Shown on the steps is half of my Evolution class at Swarthmore. (The other half wasn't protesting; they went the day before.)
