David Beckham to Miss Third Straight Game for Galaxy

David Beckham was not scheduled to travel with the Galaxy to Texas this evening for Tuesday's SuperLiga soccer match against F.C. Dallas but instead remained behind to continue treatment on his injured left ankle. The Galaxy has to win, or at least tie, the match at Pizza Hut Park in suburban Frisco, Texas, to stay alive in the eight-team tournament. Beckham has played only 16 minutes, against Chelsea, of the 360 minutes the Galaxy has been on the field since he joined the MLS club July 13. The midfielder is expected to travel with the team Friday when it leaves on a three-game trip against MLS teams in Toronto, Washington and Boston.
