For the second time this year, David Lynch sat at the corner of Hollywood & La Brea to promote his new feature, INLAND EMPIRE. From about 3 PM until dusk, Lynch greeted fans & casual passersby, flanked on one side by a giant poster touting Laura Dern as an Oscar candidate, and Georgia the cow on the other. Lynch has stated in interviews that he ate a lot of cheese while making his feature and was appreciative of the cows that provided the milk. There are no cows in his movie.
David was very eager to meet people, shaking hands and asking their names. He posed for many photos and was happy to talk about whatever was on a person's mind.
