Dead pine on the North Thompson

The sun broke through the clouds and highlighted this stand of dead pine. Cast an orange glow. It had been raining most of the day so when the sun popped out I walked to the end the street and took this pic.

Almost all of our pine trees are dead because of the mountain pine beetle. Nasty little beetle has decimated the pine trees in the interior of BC. All of our hills are red from dead pine.
