The Democrats face off at the Democratic Debates

DES MOINES, IA - The Democrats faced off in a debate at Drake
University on August 19. The debate was moderated by ABC Newsman George
Stephanopoulos with additional questions from David Yepsen of the Des
Moines Register. The event was largely moderator driven, aimed at
sparking a conversation between the candidates on the big issues of the
day. Except for a select few still photographers, the press was kept
from the hall during the debate and only allowed in for a minimal
amount of access time on stage. There was a media availability in the
Spin Room following the debate where a few of the candidates showed up
for interviews.
