NP Rank:
Destroyed Alligators Turned Into Car Parts
POSTCARD FROM THE ROAD

Greetings from San Antonio,
Cars have changed drastically since the days of the Ford Model T.
Take this car that's always parked in front of my San Antonio hotel, for instance. This car is so unique, it's drawing more attention around here than the Spurs.
People are constantly gawking at its sleek body style, and those mind-blowing alligator rims. That's right.
Somebody destroyed some 'gators and turned them into rims. Now that's taking rims to another level.
I bet you the car's owner probably also wears alligator shoes, and his wife probably has an alligator purse.
This car is flashy. It has stylish curtains in the rear window -- apparently to keep the sun from shining in the back seats. In fact, those curtains look better than the ones I have in my house.
One lady even laid down on the hood of the car and had someone snap her picture.
We finally asked one of the parking attendants about the car's owner. That's when I found out that the car belongs to Spurs forward Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson.
When I saw Robinson at the SBC Center, I
told him that his car was creating a buzz at the hotel. He seemed
perplexed that I even knew where he was staying, let alone that I
happened to be staying there.
It's good to know the "Big Dog" has a lot of class. This car sure
beats that drab-looking Plymouth Horizon I used to pedal around in.
Rolling with the Big Dog,
Dwain
