A team of divers who set out to solve the mystery of the drowned village of Bowood in Wiltshire has found the remains of buildings under a lake.

The lake at Bowood House was created 250 years ago by 'Capability' Brown when legend has it a village was sacrificed to make way for the design.

I read this story too.  I live nearby and have added some photos to the news item of a visit to Bowood earlier this year.  I actually I know a few members of the dive club who did the dive too!

Great photos, Tim. That must have been so creepy to be diving in that lake and to discover this town. I would love to hear some first hand impressions from the divers.
