While American athletes are swimming it out, winning medals and setting and breaking world records, Austrailian environmental group, Frogwatch is also making tremendous discoveries. A toad as big as a small dog was found in Australian local waters. Group says the toads are poisonous. I hope it's brothers don't find their way to the tournament swimming pools; that might result in international disaster. Read on.

It is worth noting that the cane toad does not live in water - majority of its time is spent on land chasing moths and grubs. They are attracted to light becuase thats where moths congregate.

As for upsetting the swimming - few cane toads are found very far south of Coffs Harbour, halfway up the coast of New South Wales. The swimming is being held in Melbourne, almost a thousand miles to the south, where it is considered too cold for the frogs to survive.

The biggest risk to the swimming are Ukranian swimming coaches.
