Working and paying taxes is no excuse for breaking the law. Nor is
having an American family. There's an interesting point in this case:
He could have married the mother of his son and applied for adjustment
of status. He could have married her before the birth, or before the
child was one year old. Why didn't he?  She plans to stay in Utah
until her 17-year-old son graduates from high school next year. She
plans for her son to go into the military and then she will move to
Mexico.  At what age does the Mexican military accept recruits? It
may be possible for her and her son to move to Mexico this
summer.  Did the father teach his son to speak Spanish? They speak
Spanish in the Mexican military.  I have a friend who's son was
DRAFTED into a non-English speaking military. The son could speak two
languages because his mother's second language was English.
