Rarely, as it was intended, that is as a local column. She is a revisionist "historian" and it makes sense she would dispair of facts. True to her narcissistic nature she won't be specific. Again she implies BLOGGERS as "egotistical, self-centered, shameless self-promoters." All traits she can not see in herself. Which is funny to those (not on the kool-aid) who see her column. Especially, egregious is her boring promotion via the so-called "letters" appearing to be written by a machine or the same pathetic sap. And her constant "praise letters to Laura", ME,ME,ME! themes, subtle hints at books she sells. YES, the column is more her promo PR than local. (She has something like 14 employees for her word business, a major PR firm and partners like telecommunications czarina, Wendy McCaw. Also her radio show and other venues.) No lack of free press or speech for her, obviously, no editor or co-publisher overseers. In a recent column she heads it with: "O.J.'s book despicable exploitation" (this in a local column with wounds from a copy murder). "Harper-Collins and Fox Broadcasting are enabling a narcissistic, murderous sociopath to have yet another day in the sun." Schlessinger said, and she goes on to give them all more sun. Harper-Collins, Judith Regan, O.J., Fox Broadcasting are NOT LOCAL. Flashback to 2002, if you read what a detective said and how certain he was about Yolanda Schlessinger when he saw the scene of her death, you wouldn't be entirely sure the coroners report is accurate. To read Schlessinger's words "narcissistic, murderous sociopath" is eery. ("All traits she can not see in herself"?) She gives Judith Regan/Harper-Collins/Fox News an ample amount of space/sun in her OJ exploitation column (November 19, 2006).
Her next column (Thanksgiving, November 23, 2006 & two weeks after November 11, 2006 event)) she distorts a local happening and uses the space to belittle an honorable award winner, her sad attempt to "stand up" for her elitist boss, Wendy. There are also her convoluted attempts to plant the seeds of censorship, a practice already implemented in Santa Barbara (hence, degrade bloggers). Her themes of "15 minutes.." , so called "family values" are products she sells, not necessarily anything to do with her actual arrangement (marriage). I could go on. What she doesn't have is a clue that she needs to start with honesty. She'd need to shed the "dr" farce and start raw. Meanwhile, she also recently said: " However, if you wish to read an infinite thread of mean, mostly very personal attacks on me -- just Google my name or check The Independent." www.independent.com "just Google" blogs, names/words, images. There is even more mindless and computer generated PR trickery to sell the "moralist" and "family values" products. If you like to see all sides and the info some would censor you best be quick and download what you want to keep. The people she admires are peddling a situation where censorship is their necessity. Some blogs will be like the street art she recently suggested censored for "peace" (her November 2, 2006 column). google msnbc.msn.com Keith Olbermann and/or Newt Gingrich to read both views.
