this entire deal is ridiculous. it has nothing to do with the fact that the company is arabic but the fact that it is owned by a government entity. what reason would a middle eastern government have for aquiring a publicly traded company that operates at major united states ports. this has nothing to do with prejudice. president bush states we cant allow the british to operate our ports but then tell the arabs they can not. except for the fact that P&O the company that dubai world ports is attempting to aquire is a publicly traded non government affiliated corporation, dubai world ports is owned by government of Dubai. this deal makes no sense and president bush is ridiculous for endorsing such a deal, and also saying that if america doesnt endorse it that it sets a bad example for the international community. what other country would allow another country to operate their ports? i think this is all a political bush oil deal and he is giving out country away to terrorists for fake promises that they will remain our ally. this deal must be stopped at all costs.
