It's nice for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to get out this warning, though a tad late when the beef they are recalling was sold to British Columbia consumers in May and early June, the peak of BBQ season.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a news release that some ground beef and ground beef patties sold in Safeway and independent grocery stores could be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

Fresh ground beef sold at Safeway and independent grocery stores in British Columbia and Alberta between May 24 and June 5, bearing "best before" dates from May 25 to June 6, should not be consumed the warning said.
