"Darwish" is the character behind the Google Adwords Campaign addressing President Mubarak. You can read this on Now Public for more background. Today's messages have become direct and blunt:

Ad in English/Arabic:

Mr Mubarak: كـفاية
You intimidate, you brutalize but
we're the smart generation. Watch.

Note: كـفاية means "Enough".

Ad in Arabic:

حصني مبارك
زعيم البلطجية

Translation: "Hosni Mubarak, Chief of Thugs, Click Here."

-----

Important notice to NP Readers: If you want to see the campaign in action, please do ***BUT*** please avoid clicking the ads: Darwish reports that each click costs about 50 cts. I provided (above), the complete URLs of what the ads are linking to.

------

The Adwords Campaign in English Arabic is linking to the "Kifaya Song" ("Enough Song"), with English subtitles.

The Adword camaign in arabic is linking to another music video posted on the "AhmadSherif" Youtube Channel". It's called "Sankyoo". I'm providing you hereafter with the English Translation of the Lyrics:

Description: A Freedom Song. To Kareem, Alaa, Malek, Ibrahim, Mohamed, Ayman, Emad el Kabeer and so many other Egyptians who are putting their lives in danger over a couple of words: justice and freedom.

English Translation of the lyrics:

Intro:

One wonders
What people say about us
"Mubarak is an American puppet,
He doesn't give a damn
He's busy with some girls
That's his master plan".

-----

"I love you
I love you too, Mr President
Thank you"
(Note: this is a famous line in a satirical
play by performer Adel Emam "El Zaeem" ("The leader")

Sankyoo for the misery
For the filth
And our Disgust

Sankyoo for sewage floods
Sankyoo for rotting garbage

Sankyoo for imposed opinions
Sankyoo for the fraud

Sankyoo for Ayman Nour, Kareem
Alaa and all oppressed Egyptians
(Note: Ayman Nour is an opposition candidate,
the others are bloggers that have been
sentenced to jail)

Sankyoo for the judges
The beating
The police
The torture

Sankyoo, sankyoo, sankyoo, sankyoo (ad lib)

Finale:

One wonders
Where to hide from injustice
The ruler has cornered us
Where ever we may be

Egyptian girls and boys
Where shall we find freedom
When Mubarak our President
Is the mighty chief of thugs.
