I am Dutchman, years ago I started to study political and cultural geography, however due to other interests and work I skipped graduation. I started to work as a junior consultant in different roles. Mainly focussing on communication, mediation and process engineering. This biased focused prevented signifficant growth and thus in 2005 I decided to make a dramatic carreer switch. I went into sales!

From 2005 onward I have worked at several companies on sales departments. Differing from the Dutch railroads, to the ABN AMRO bank and Rabobank as well as a Dutch Copy Rights organisation.

Since 2007 I work as coordinator on a sales team for a Dutch IT company. This company is specialised in medical management software.

Due to my current work, but also previous work assignments and personal interests. my main focus is open source software and business. Besides, due to my studies I'm interested in international affairs and politics.

Next to my work and study I am a volunteer for the Netherlands Red Cross at the Apeldoorn branch. I am a certified first aid worker as well as coordinator of the Youngster Promotional Team. The Red Cross is one of my greatest passions.

Since the start of 2009 I am a representative of the union of individual members of the Royal Netherlands Walking Association (KNBLO-NL) and dedicated to promote longdistance walking, hiking/trekking/backpacking as a way of live!

Oh last but not least, being born native Dutch, I reverted to Islam in 2002 and as such I belong to the Muslim minority in the Netherlands without being recognized as such! Islam is my personal religion and very important to me. Although personal, I guess it is important for a reader of some of my articles to know that I am Muslim!
