A 61-year-old backcountry skier became the 11th victim of a deadly avalanche season Wednesday.
Peter Bowle-Evans was caught in a backcountry slide while skiing with two others near the Kicking Horse ski resort in B.C.
Another skier was caught in the snow, but the third skier managed to rescue him. The pair then found Bowle-Evans, but were unable to revive him.
The avalanche risk at the time was rated "considerable."
