The numbers widely reported Wednesday regarding the car pileup on Florida's I-4 were incorrect--apparently 70 cars were involved, with 4 dead, 38 injured, and at least five others with life-threatening injuries.  Fifty cars and 3 deaths were the numbers initially reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol is beginning to release the names of people involved.

See Wednesday's coverage here.

The Florida Highway Patrol today (Thursday) released a partial list of people involved in Wednesday's 70-vehicle pileup that closed Interstate 4.

Four people were killed in the crash and 38 injured, and at least five others had life-threatening injuries. The dead and only some seriously injured have not been officially identified.
