Ga. Tech Building Evacuated After Chemical Spill
ATLANTA -- Emergency officials are on the scene of an incident/HazMat situation at the Science and Technology building at Georgia Tech. The incident took place on the second floor of the building. That building has been evacuated.
Officials said there is one minor injury -- they are still determining if it's relation to the spill or the evacuation.
HazMat crews are on the scene and entered the building just after 12:45 p.m. The type of chemical they are dealing with has not been determined.
Georgia Tech officials sent a text message to students telling them to evacuate the science building -- also known at the Ford Building.
