SANTIAGO, Chile — Fifty-three people, most likely tourists, were trapped in a Chilean wilderness park Wednesday by an erupting volcano, Source Fox
On Tuesday, 150 tourists and National Forest Service employees were evacuated from the Conguillio National Park 400 miles south of Santiago after the Llaima volcano erupted.
The Volcano is in CHILE. The nearest populated places are Pueco (18km), Refugio Llaima (3km), Santa Mar¡a (15km).
It is a mountainous region with a maximum altitude of 2969 m.

The nearest civilian airport (Pucon) is at 68km from the epicenter. The Military airfield of Loncopue is located at 0km from the epicenter.
