BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore fire officials say the fire that followed an explosion at the Domino Sugar plant on Key Highway has been extinguished.

Fire department spokesman Kevin Cartwright says fire investigators are standing by to enter the building and begin the investigation.

BALTIMORE -- Firefighters have responded to an explosion Friday morning at the Domino's Sugar plant at the Inner Harbor.

The explosion occurred just before 10 a.m., causing a fire that grew to three alarms by 10:30 a.m.

City Fire Department spokesman Kevin Cartwright said they received reports of an explosion on the 9th floor of the building. Steam was seen billowing out of the plant and several windows were blown out of the building.

This is a link to a slideshow with several images from the explosion scene. Firefighters say one female employee is unaccounted for. The building was evacuated and there are no injuries reported at this time. I have more information on ABC2 News.com
