About ennor

The first 56 years of my life were spent in the English county of Kent. I spent 33 years working in the packaging industry, and in 2001 was made redundant due to a lack of work. My age and poor health suggested I was going to find it hard to get a new job, so I decided to sell my house, which was quite large, and move from Kent to a small home in Kernow (Cornwall), just a few miles from the North Cornish coast near Newquay, and not too far from Dartmoor which is a place I love. Although not my perfect choice in the first place, it has proved to be an ideal location for exploring much of Cornwall, and I love the coastline here and the coastal towns such as Padstow which is a short drive away. For less than a year I spent my time sorting my new home and exploring the area. Then my health took a turn for the worse, and in October 2002 I was admitted to hospital with cardiac problems, and 3 months later I left hospital with a new mechanical valve in my heart and a coronary bypass. I am diabetic and suffer from related medical problems, with bad circulation in my legs and feet, and eye problems with cataracts and glaucoma, and have at the time of writing this had surgery 3 times on my eyes. I love Cornwall, Dartmoor, and the Lake District in the North West of England (Cumbria). I  have been visiting the Lake District since 1993 - it's great for walking! While I’ve considered photography one of my interests for most of my life since I moved to Cornwall it has become my main interest, and digital photography has enabled me to take more photos and learn more about photography.
