Amy Winehouse snags six, Kanye West eight, Grammy nominations

Famous for her beehive hairdo and punk wardrobe, Winehouse also earned Song of the Year and Record of the Year nominations for her hit "rehab" in which she sings "No! No! No!" to people advising her to undergo treatment, DPA reported.

Her Grammy achievement was superseded only by rap star Kanye West, who earned eight nominations including album of the year for Graduation. Other top nominees included the Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Rihannna, Paul McCartney, T-Pain and Timbaland.

The other Album of the Year nominees were Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace by the Foo Fighters, These Days, by Vince Gill, and River: The Joni Letters, by Herbie Hancock, "Graduation," by Kanye West and "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse.
