Andy Lau tops in the eyes of Western women: poll

Beijing (ANTARA News) - Hong Kong actor Andy Lau has topped a poll of
the most desirable Chinese men in the eyes of foreign women, state
media in China reported on Tuesday.

Lau edged out martial arts star Jet Li, with both of them trouncing
Jackie Chan, perhaps the most recognisable Chinese man in the West, the
China Daily was quoted by AFP as saying.

The poll of 108 Western women in the eastern metropolis of Shanghai was
organised by a professor at the city's Academy of Social Sciences to
find out what "images Chinese movies are bringing to the world", it
said.

Respondents were shown photos of 18 well-known Chinese entertainers
including movie director Wong Kar-wai and actor Tony Leung and asked to
choose which one they would most like to marry. (*) END
