Beenie Man Angered At Stone Love Award To Mavado

Nobody could believe it.

At first the dance stood still in silence, for a fraction of  a second before releasing a rally of boos upon the self-proclaimed “King Of The Dancehall” Beenie Man. 

The riff with fans started after Beenie Man’s sad attempt at undermining Mavado’s award for DJ of the year from world renowned sound system Stone Love. 

After interrupting the weekly “weddy weddy” by commandeering the mike to rant and rave, it was evident Beenie was displeased with the selection of Mavado as DJ of The Year”. 

“Him a singa, him a no DJ, Weepow no **** disrespect, but dat no right iya”. Me a DJ, weh my trophy eh ?, weh mine dey ?” shouted Beenie. 

The shockwave that spread crippled the crowd for the moment. 

Weepow, founder and chief selector of Stone Love Movement could hardly comment, and stood speechless in the sideline moments after the outburst. 

Once Beenie exited found his way back to his chauffer driven Toyota Corollla “KingFish”, half an hour later, the fans and haters alike was still reeling in shock and awe, that the “King” had lost it in the dancehall. 

One industry critic commented “ Is Beenie going mad, or is he just feeling Blue ?”
