Berlin Film Festival: 'Three of Us' by India's Shariqua Khan

'Three of Us',
a diploma film by Shariqua Badar Khan of Film and Television Institute
of India, Pune, is a surprise selection at Berlinale 2008, according to London-based film site India-EU Film Initiative (www.iefilmi.com). Other
selections represent Junior Makhmalbakh and young torch bearers of
world cinema. In our series of 'profiling young' we begin with India's
Shariqua Badar Khan who earlier did camera for a national award-winning
film. It's an achievement for the young documentary from India whose profile appears on iefilmi's site. India-EU Film Initiative will be profiling other young filmmakers from India in a series.

More
than 19,000 film professionals from 120 countries, including 4,000
journalists, are accredited for the Berlin International Film Festival
every year. The Berlinale is truly a mega event. At the same time, it
is a festival of encounters and discussions. With more than 200,000
tickets sold, the Berlinale is not only a film industry meeting. It
also enjoys by far the largest audience of any film festival in the
world. www.iefilmi.com will cover the latest from Berlinale 2008, said its director Pervaiz Alam. He added ''we are working hard on a new film portal for India-EU Film Initiative which will be launched by the end of January 2008."
