Jodie Foster is a lesbian (duh)

For this first time ever, Jodie Foster publicly acknowledged her lesbian life partner of several years, Cydney Bernard. During her speech, Foster also referred to herself as a "gentleman." As recently as a few months ago, Foster declined to reveal anything about her private life in an Entertainment Weekly piece profiling her new film The Brave One. I wonder what changed her mind?

While Jodie's sexual orientation has never been a big secret, the actress has fiercely defended her privacy and has never gone public with it.

The double Oscar winner referred to her partner Cydney Bernard during a speech, after receiving an award by the Hollywood Reporter at a Power 100 breakfast earlier this week.

Jodie thanked "my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss."

Jodie Foster gave a lecture at NYU's film school. She funny and insightful and shared some amazing stories.

Having just watched The Brave One in my local theatre, I was inspired and just *had* to go and roam around the city - albeit with my camera instead of recording equipment.
