It isn't only Santa who gets listy in December. Lazy observers of culture (present company sheepishly included) also turn to the list -- a convenient way to create splashy content with minimal reportage.

Here at Celebritology central, we've been accumulating an uber-list of this year's smartest, dumbest, couply-est, searchy-est, buzziest, etc., crafted in an attempt to put a period at the end of the long, bloated, over-wrought sentence that I am writing was 2007.
