The Office is NOT Cancelled
I'm talking about the TV show. Another internet rumor I shall dispel. The Office is not cancelled. The writers strike has not affected the majority of shows. Jon Stewart's The Daily Show which depends on daily writers is, however, off the air.
The Office cancelled? Of course not, silly. It's hard to believe that people would fall for this two weeks in a row now. The rumor began after people began listening to the morning radio program the Opie and Anthony show.
If you know anything about O&A or talk radio in general, you would know that it's Make Up Stuff Tuesday; It's Fake News Story Tuesday. If you heard a provocative news item Tuesday Morning, IT'S SIMPLY NOT REAL.
The report cites the Drudge Report as the source, but if you would bother to check Matt's site report before jumping to conclusions, you'd realize it's a gag.
In time though, viewers could be affected as the stock of shows runs out. But that shouldn't happen until mid January.
Typically, most primetime dramas and comedies are in production somewhere around four or six episodes ahead of air date. That means if you’re watching the fourth episode of “House” this week, the writers are putting the final touches on something like episode eight or nine now, with filming to begin soon.
