To mark the release of Shaggy’s new single, Bonafide Girl, fans of the multi-platinum grammy-winning star are being invited to join the Facebook group If I Met Shaggy In Second Life, This Is What I’d Ask Him, to win tickets for an exclusive ‘Audience with Shaggy’ in the 3D world Second Life.

The first 150 fans to join the Facebook group will be guaranteed access to the event, which will take place in a secret location in Second Life in the New Year, where they’ll be treated to a specially designed Second Life goodie bag. “We’ve had the best designers in the business create an exclusive goody for all attendees filled with limited edition t-shirts and gold jewellery,” said Joy Ellington of reggae record label VP.

Huge screens will broadcast videos from Shaggy’s new album, Intoxication, before Mr Lover Lover himself, who has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, arrives to hang out with fans and answer their questions.

Bonafide Girl, which is currently no.1 on the iTunes reggae chart, reunites Shaggy with It Wasn’t Me collaborator Rik Rok. Intoxication also features collaborations with Akon and rising dancehall star Collie Buddz.
