You can wonder why all of a sudden, a chain reaction of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It can be the simple concept on how a motor vehicle operates. The engine ignites and produces a high degree of heat to function and therefore the engine has been designed to operate while continiously running, must have cool water and specific graded oils running through it's engine designs. As long as there is water and oil the engine will not overheat. If one of two is not available then the cylinder head can blow it's gasket or the radiator can blow due to extreme pressurized heat conditions. - I think the same is happening to the earth.Mostly the oil deep down in the earth is there for a reason. This as we may say is one of god's creations. The moulton rock ( Magma) has always been, but uninterupted because there was always enough crude oil to cool it down
