So I get this flickr mail "You're it! You've been tagged!! Now you have to post a picture along with 16 facts about yourself. I got suckered in too.Sorry! (= J." I'm not one to back down from a challenge, so here it is!

1. Lets see, where to begin....I guess at the beginning. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I have lived in Phoenix,Arizona, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joplin, Missouri, Manhattan Kansas, Springfield, Missouri, Des Moines Iowa, and now St Louis, Missouri. Home for me though will always be Phoenix, Arizona. Something ironic, my sister who is a OB/GYN specializing in high risk pregnancies did her residency at the the hospital I was born at in Phoenix, Arizona.

2. I used to play tennis competitively, however now I play for fun, after I had a serious rotator cuff injury to my shoulder after college. I played both high school and NCAA Division 1 collegiate tennis. I do however give tennis lessons.

3. I used to be a TV News Photojournalist, and TV Commercial Photographer/Writer/Producer. So besides covering the news on a local level in three different markets, I can also be blamed for those local TV spots you see on tv, even though one of them did win me an Addy Award. So you know what the Addy's are according to Wikipeadia, they describe it this way. The ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually. The ADDYs recognize creative excellence in all forms of advertising from media of all types and creatied by agencies of all sizes.

4. I am a major Parrothead, thus meaning I love the music of Jimmy Buffett. I have lost count of how many concerts I've been too. Why you ask? I envy the life of this fifty year old pirate. He has made his own luck, made his own way and pretty much steers his own path these days. He still catches the waves like any giddy teenager hitting the beach with life still all in the future. Yet, he also has developed a sense that the endless summer will indeed turn to fall someday. However, I hope that day is a long time from now. Before that happens there are places he wants to go, things he wants to do and experiences he wants to give his kids that will enrich the rest of their lives, too. What's different about Jimmy Buffett is that he gets to wear the beachcomber attire whenever he feels like it. He spends significant amounts of time filling out customs papers and forms at exotic ports of call, that most of us only can dream about. Flying around the Caribbean Sea, perhaps as far north as Key West, or south to Grand Turk Island, St. Martin, or Port of Spain, Trinidad are just a few of his favorite ports of call. Blue waters, sandy beaches, coconuts, a hammock, and palm trees what else does someone need? I think Mr. Buffett sums it up best by saying "Well, its--escapism. You know everybody needs it".

5. I love penguins. One place I still want to go is Antarctica, and photograph penguins there. Its been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. And when I do make that trip the photographs will be posted here on Flickr!

6. I collect antique cameras currently, perhaps being involved in photography most of my life. Look through my photostream, I have a couple here photographed on Flicker. When I was a munckin, I collected stamps, but I still do have my collection...*Thinks to self, I should see if any of those stamps are worth anything now*.

7.I love to cook... My favorite things to cook, Anything Italian, Indian, Chinese, and Barbecue.

8. I was a Boy Scout, and did achieve the rank of Eagle Scout!

9. My favorite cartoon character is Snoopy. Especially anything that has Snoopy in his World War One Fighter ace outfit taking on the Red Baron. Or when Snoopy is playing tennis at Wimbledon (See #2).

10. I originally wanted to go to Film School at USC (University of Southern California, ie, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, as alum). But I didn't get accepted, so I went to Journalism School, and figured if I worked in TV I would end up in film at some point. While in college I did take a scriptwriting class and have written a complete script for a movie. Perhaps someday I'll produce/direct it, so if there are any Hollywood producers reading this, look me up I may have a script you may be interested in.

11. With number 10 being said, I love a good movie. There are so many on the list. Baraka, which is a movie with no conventional plot, just incredible photographed scenes (this one comes from my love of photography I'm guessing). But just give me any of the original Star Wars, or Indiana Jones Trilogy of movies and I'm set for the afternoon.

12. I love to travel. The further the better! I think Jimmy Buffett sums it up the best in a song...."Reading departure signs in some big airport, Reminds me of the places I've been. Visions of good times, that brought so much pleasure, makes me want to go back again." This year I will have the opportunity to travel to the Florida Key again (its been awhile for me), back to Arizona and the desert southwest (as thats home to me), which will lead me to Hong Kong again, then ending the year in India. I wonder if I can make a detour and hit Antarctica in this trip! :D

13. I am a serious tech junkie! I love electronics. Yeah I admit I'm a dork/nerd/geek but you know the term. But just ooohing and ahhing over all the new electronic stuff makes for a good day, when I can go to any electronic and especially camera stores seeing the latest in electronic gear.

14. I love chasing storms, perhaps this comes from days of being a News Photographer, and it helps living in Tornado Ally. Still to this day, as everyone is headed to the basement, I'm out watching them with my camera in hand.

15. I've been a Nikon person as long as I can remember, with the exception of my first camera. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic which used 126 film cartridges My dad has Nikons, and when he finally trusted me, he let me use them, and I'm still a Nikon person. I have recently invested in a Casio Exilim camera for those quick shots though, as this camera, usually sits in my glove box, so I always know I have a camera.

16. And on a final note, since this is 16...My most embarrassing moment.... I was covering Shania Twain at a concert for the newscast as a way to end our news, so we were broadcasting it live. I was on stage just getting shots of her singing and dancing. I'll never forget the song, but the song was, "Honey I'm Home." As I was getting shots of her dancing and singing, knowing she was having fun, but she was twirling me around my cables that were hooked to my camera on one end, and the other end was hooked to the satellite truck. As I was following her around she was wrapping me in my cables. Soon I couldn't move and just stood there like a moron. But in the end, she did autograph the filter that was on my camera, so I do have a souvenir reminder of that day, plus I have the newscast, plus all the raw video as well in my archive files!!!

Now who to pick, I should just make each and everyone of you do this...! Muhahaha! Hopefully you didn't fall asleep reading!

17. Yes sometimes I can be longwinded! LOL!
