Non-matched trash and recycling cans sit side by side in front of Mt. Auburn Hospital. Having emptied both kinds, I know it's important for the recycling can or bin to make clear beyond doubt that it's for recycling and not for trash. People will still put trash in them, though. I suspect this felicitous design does a better job discouraging random trash than just a recycling symbol.
