Six Asiatic wild elephants were electrocuted as they went berserk after drinking rice beer in India's remote northeast, a wildlife official said Tuesday.

Reminds me of a very disturbing video I saw on Youtube: a public elephant execution in Coney island, which Thomas Edison used as a platform to dis Nikola Tesla's direct-current experiments: this took place in 1875. I won't link to it here, but it's really easy to find.
