Avoid Metrotown this evening if you can.

METRO VANCOUVER - Problems with track switches and inclement weather have plagued SkyTrain's Expo line all day, resulting in a large crowd of people becoming stranded at Metrotown SkyTrain station.

A problematic switch at Columbia Station has seen the Expo line stopping and starting all afternoon, with conflicting reports of shutdowns and resumptions making it hard for passengers to plan their rides.

Just so's ya knows.

At 21:39 local (03:39 GMT) at Fort Worth, Texas, it is 20°C (68° 'Merican) and balmy.

On the other hand, we don't have a decent mass transit system in which to be trapped, sadly.

Wow, 8,000 people....madness.  I ventured out to the mall in Richmond today, regret it but didn't get trapped there at least.  Amazing how many people braved the snow and ice for discounts at the malls today!
