I am not a journalist, or a historian. I am a listless, ignorant, young mind who's searching for answers, solutions, and guidance.I have been living in the United States for the past 12 years of my life; came here when I was 8-years old, I am 20 now. I know much little about my history--- maybe not an obsolete mind, but I  wonder, what the other foreign countries objectives are when they get involved with Africa's domestics.

Africa a continent of gold, diamond, nature, the motherland, believe it or not, white or black, Asian or Hispanic,we all have ties to these beautiful nation. The history is not of David and Goliath, the north or the south, but the battle of humanity, territorial greed, disease, and spotless minds.

The illusions , and the imagination of a 8-year old girl, kept away from her mother to come to America , to lead a prosperous life, and achieve the American dream, but to come to racism, prejudice, and mild indiscretion . I feel cheated, angered, oblivious, enraged, how I could not express interest in keeping up with the politics. The truth of the matter is, keeping up with Africa's  politics, is two seconds away from high blood pressure and cardiac arrest. The stories, that seem unreal, and  question the allegiance of blood. The devastating genocides, floods, aids, brings not only sadness but anger and unselfish solitude.

I came here looking for answers, why don't you help me?

I'm not sure what you are looking answers for exactly? Why Africa is the way it is? Why those things happen there versus anywhere else?

Thanks for this honest piece.
