Thousand or even millions of Africans intellectually brilliant that comprises scientists live and serve developed countries rather than serving their families in Africa suffering from poverty, hunger and backwardness. I know Africans serving in NASSA. Is it morally acceptable that these intellectuals be totally immersed by egoism?
In the Bible, all Africans are identified by the name Ethiopia and Ethiopians. For example, in one of the books of the Bible, it is written as ‘can a tiger change its strips or Ethiopians their skin’? It means can Ethiopians/Africans change their colour! So, Africans do help the developed countries develop more than helping their family and balancing growth of the world?
If it is not an insult, African intellectuals being brain drained by developed countries lost their identity because of egoism and greed. Of course, these intellectuals give a reason of excuse that the African dictator leaders are the reasons for their absence in Africa and help Africa. But are they not the ones to teach and change their leaders’ mentality and values?

Brain drain is a major problem of developing Asian and African countries.China is an exception. All the Chinese who went abroad for higher studies or research, especially in displine of sciences, returned to serve their country.Whereas those from other Asian or African countries preferred to settle down in an alien land.At home there weren't enough job opportunities, lack of proper facilities for further research and on the top of that nepotism.A less qualified person was promoted to a position which he didn't deserve, simply because he had appropiate connections if not qualification;the guy who was more qualified had no connections or money to grease the palms of those who carried wieght in matters of appointments and promotions.Frustration at home could be ventilated abroad.Empty stomachs and empty pockets can not generate desire to serve one's own country. Some countries policy was:drain out brain, drain in foreign exchange.

Political class and ruling elite can change the situation at home. But mired in corruption they want good brains and national wealth both drained.Foreign employers and foreign banks. The former hire brains, the later accept deposit of illgoten money.

It reminds me of Mexico. The opposite is happening. The professionals stay in Mexico while the dropouts come to America.

Even scholars sent abroad for education to help their country dont like to return to the poor Africa, their home, to help. Why? In my opinion government problems in their home may be secondary. The key reason why they settle in developed countries is self-interest. Believe me!!!
Secondly, these scholars study their masters or doctoral degree for the sake of the paper (diploma) not for the sake of doing something real and significant even if they return back to their home. The chains immitate some thing to reinnovate and implement something in their country and throw away the paper (diploma) to the university they have been educated. They only take their skill to their country in their mind and definitely implement it in real life situation. In short, African scholars have a problem of thinking and are egoist!
