The Macaque is just one of the many animals rescued by the Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park in Gibraltar. This small (just three Keepers) but well-run, non-profit organisation 'picks up exotic animals confiscated by Gibraltar customs and unwanted exotic pets.' If you are visiting Gibraltar, go see the good work they are doing .. with very little funding! www.alamedawildlifepark.webs.com

This is laVieja (the old one) - alias 'Vera' - mother of three. Vera is the smallest longtailed Macaque but the matriarch of the group. A firm favourite with the hardworking Manager/Keeper - Jessica.
