Over the last yr 4 alligators have been caught or sighted in Philly suburbs. I recently visited one of the sighting area and found signs that were out of the ordinary. As i scanned the area for prints and bedding I was spotted and thanks to my cam always at hand i got this shot. The animal appears healthy and when authorities find it they will kill it. People are able to purchase these animals at a pet shop.  When they get too big or too expensive to feed they are letting them go. The other thought is the migration north.

Would it be possible for an alligator to travel atleast three states? I for one doubt it but i am not a specialist. I am going to the philadelphia zoo tomorrow to talk too specialists in the field. I will post a follow up tomorrow and update my findings.

The photo below is real that i photographed. I did not steal from another source.
