California Wildfire

Wildfire is being spotted North of Azusa, CA. The brush fire in Angeles National Forest is above Azusa near Highway 39.

The fire started around 4:30 pm on Tuesday August 25. More than 1000 firefighters are battling against the brush fire. The flame has consumed over 750 acres of forest. 

UPDATE (August 28): The fire is 60% contained, has burned through 2,000 acres in the Angeles National Forest north of Azusa and Glendora.

The blaze is not threatening residential neighborhoods, but a mandatory evacuation remains for Camp Williams with voluntary evacuations set at Rainbow Ranch and Valley of the Moon. The evacuation center is located at El Roble School in Claremont.
