RICK TROPICAL STORM 0002

Yesterday was confirmed the death of a 16 year old guy who drowned as a result of strong waves in Los Cabos  generated by Tropical Storm Rick.

Porfirio  Guadalupe Leon Alvarado, has drowned in the beach known as El Medano, Cabo San Lucas, where he was playing with several friends, who rescued his body from the sea and taken to private hospital "Amerimed" where nothing could be done.

This was made known by the police officer Sergio Castro Dominguez. That is why authorities are calling on the population to move away from the shore due to strong waves.

On Sunday afternoon occurred the death of Miguel Barraza Tapia, who was swept away by big waves at San Jose del Cabo, while he was fishing.

Only rains of tropical storm has left Rick

Only light rain fell in the area of Los Cabos, with little wind. However civil protection authorities said they will begin the evacuation of 15 thousand families living in high risk areas and lead to temporary shelters.

Elements of the military patrol the streets of Los Cabos, to provide assistance to the population.
