Arleta volunteers work hard to create playground by MsMcReality

DWP employee Cruz Padilla drives in long pins into the ground as 2 foot plastic borders are set around the jungle gym area of a brand new playground built by nearly 200 volunteers from Washington Mutual Bank and the local community who pitched-in to build the playground at the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) Arleta Head Start Site in Arleta, CA, on Saturday, August 23, 2008 which will serve more than 7,500 children. 20,000 pounds of concrete and 58,320 square-feet of mulch were used to cover the 3,300 Square-foot surface where jungle gyms and slides were added along with a new mural on a wall and hopscotch diagrams on a few pathways.
