Arleta volunteers work hard to create playground

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) employee Sean Orr volunteers his time and wrenches parts of a jungle gym together along with others from Washington Mutual Bank and the local community all pitched-in to build a brand new playground at (CCRC) Arleta Head Start Site in Arleta, CA, on Saturday, August 23, 2008 which will serve more than 7,500 children. 20,000 pounds of concrete and 58,320 square-feet of mulch were used to cover the 3,300 Square-foot surface where jungle gyms and slides were added along with a new mural on a wall and hopscotch diagrams on a few pathways.
