19 Sept 2008.  2 AM.  Auroral activity was moderate, the moon was waning gibbous, a few stars were visible.  Exposure 15 seconds, f3, 14mm.

Aurora is common here.  http://www.spaceweather.com/ publishes aurora pictures frequently along with other sky phenomena.
