Australian study says divorce is bad for the environment
A new Australian study says that divorce is bad for the environment as single people live a much more wasteful existence than married people. Divorce is considered a 'resource-inefficient lifestyle' as couples that split up now need two of everything.
"We understand that there is a social problem (with divorce), but now we're seeing there is also environmental impact as well on the footprint."
Senator Fielding, who came from a family of 16 children, has been married for more than 20 years himself.
He quoted from a US report he described as "reputable".
The Australian government has not looked at the impact of divorce on the greenhouse gas emissions.

Marriage is a binding contract not to be entered into lightly, it's something you give with all of your heart, a piece of your self; your whole self not a half but all. It's got it's bumps in the road, and sometimes even some detours can happen, but if you stay on; it will be the ride of your life.
One man, One woman joined together in good times and bad, in sickness and in health, in riches an in poorness.
