An avalanche has been reported in an out of bounds area at the Mount Rose Ski Tahoe resort southwest of Reno, Nevada.
It is unknown at this time if anyone was caught in the avalanche below the lodge at East Bowl.
Washoe County sheriff's spokeswoman Brooke Keast says search and rescue crews are responding.
Avalanche danger has been high in backcountry areas of the Sierra after a week of heavy snow.

It was my first time at a Ski Resort, and unfortunetly the weather was not that good, but I've tryed to take the best shots... All I've could see was a bunch of people practicing snowboard and ski, good music playing (some 80's, like David Bowie, great!)... Sweet! We had good time there...
