Most Recent Photos from Bangkok Flooding

Many areas of Bangkok have been flooded, with some areas under nearly ten feet of water. Over 10 million people have been affected by the flooding, which will last for weeks.

Flood waters have already reached the inner city, and Don Muang (domestic) airport is closed until November 1.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is still failing to inspire confidence, saying, "Initially the floods in Bangkok will last from two weeks to a month," she said. "But I am 50 per cent confident that the inner zone of Bangkok will not be completely flooded." 

Bangkok could face even worse flooding should any of the remaining dikes fail. A five-day "flood holiday" has been declared so that Bangkok residents can evacuate. This means no school, especially if your school is already submerged (see photo below).

As the waters rise, the infamous "Bangkok Hilton" jail was evacuated of its most dangerous prisoners.
