Latest photos from Bangkok Thailand as city braces for flooding..

The new government administration refuses to call a 'State of Emergency' fearing that would give the military total control of the country. The results of delaying such actions could have the same consequences or worst of a Hurricane Katrina New Orleans 2005.. but is it too late?

Is Chicken Little already dead?

The military in Thailand occasionally overthrows the government from time to time and now that former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, who was exiled during the 2006 military coup, has his own sister, Yingluck Shinawatra, as Prime Minister, some believe she will eventually grant him a pardon, so why bother declaring a national emergency.

One can see sandbags on sidewalks and store fronts and some flooding near the Chao Phraya River yet daily life in Bangkok remains normal for now in the capital city, so why even bother to send the US Marines?
